    <font size="2" face="verdana, arial">No problem. The who setup is really pretty cheap. The computer was like $250, the preamp was $90 and the M-Audio card was another $150. The quality isn't too bad for $500 more or less.

    <font size="2" face="verdana, arial">You'll probably be a step ahead of me then. Everything I learned it by trial and error (and there was A LOT of error). I've been playing around with this recording stuff for about 5 years now. Every time it gets a little better sounding.

    sickboy and private hell, you guys kick ass. I have a little laptop and I have Cubase software. Too bad I have no clue how to do anything beyond setting up a mic and recording just one live track otherwise our shit would sound as good as yours.

    <font size="2" face="verdana, arial">I use a lot of Behringer stuff around the studio and I've had no problems at all. I'm sure that mixer is no exception. What do you use to record?

    as in software, I am also using Cool Edit Pro 2.1
    I am still debating on which PCI card to buy....hhhmmmmm
